Michigen College offers a 9 week Phelebotomy Program. They state that “Our program ensures eligibility to take the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) exam – the highest credential for a Phlebotomist which allows you to practice in all 50 states.” Not only will you learn blood drawing skills, but you will also study variables that affect laboratory specimens and be shown how to work successfully as part of a laboratory team.

Macomb Community College offers a course in Phlebotomy Theory and Practice. They also have a program offering an externship where you gain practical experience under the guidance of a Phlebotomist. More details can be obtained here.




Medright offers a Phlebotomy program which is approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. They claim 100% success rate for their students taking their American Society for Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) test in 2011.

The course is structured on 2 components, the first being classroom instruction combined with laboratory time. The second component is practical work experience under the supervision of a Certified Phlebotomist.
